Come prepared to make to get the most out of the weekend. The pre-workshop questionnaire revealed that about half the attendees have no - zero - online experience.
So, I've decided to do two additional coaching calls to help you get started.
I was concerned that we will start out at too advanced a level. That's why I suggested - suggestion only - that people watch the videos, do the basics, and get prepared.
For example, if you haven't done a little prep work to figure out what niche you're interested in, you're going to be stuck in the beginning. We can guide you through that process when you're there, but you should give it some serious thought now.
Questions and Concerns
Is This Another Pitchfest?
Time for a story:
The first "success seminar" I attended was in Atlanta, GA. in 2002. There were about 1000 people there and the stage was like a rock concert - lights, big screens, gifts, men in suits yelling "Yes!" or my personal favorite, "If I can show you how to make money without doing any work at all, is that good...or good?"
Good or good? I love it when a stage speaker says that. What's your choice here except to agree?
Then, I watched as each speaker - 12 over two days - got people cranked up for 60 minutes, then for 20 minutes told us how we'd be a fool to pass up the opportunity to get their program for $1500 to $2000.
"And I only brought 12 of these packages with me. So the first ones to the table in the back will get the special deal..."
I watched people run full speed from the front of the room to the back of the room whipping out the plastic all the way - although I learned later that the first person (or two) could have been ringers.
One woman that day apparently exceeded the marketers' moral code - or they realized there was little chance she had that much room on her cards, as they stopped her when she racked up $7500 in charges returning all her money. Perhaps they pointed her to the shop-a-holics 12 step program too.
In any case, I was flabbergasted. I sat in the back of the room with Bill Hibbler and Pat O'Bryan. They laughed and commented about the insanity of it, occasionally remarking about how good some speaker was or how much money was being made.
I didn't spend a nickel.
I learned a ton!
Armand Morin said something that still sticks with me: "I'm buying or building at least one web business each day." Wow, I thought. That's so smart.
From that point forward, I've remembered that sentence believing that long-term, diversified online business is really the way to go.
One of those speakers sending people to the back of the room was reported later to have nearly 65% refund rate on his product. People who bought from him there will never, ever buy from him again. Just seemed like a really dumb business model to me - take people's money and hope they don't notice.
Then I found Mark Hendricks. I dropped about $1000 to attend his Internet Success Seminar.
But I called him first before taking the plunge. He answered the phone. That surprised me. I told him who I was and that I was interested in coming. He said great. I asked him to describe what I'd get from it and why I should come. He ask me why I wanted to come and what did I think I would get from it. I told him.
He said you're, right. You'll get exactly what you want from this seminar. (Now, I realize that's always true. We always get exactly what we want...We just have to be sure of what we want.)
I said I'd think about it. He said okay, and we hung up.
Later, after a few emails, I signed up when I was ready. I became a Gold Member in the ISS, a personal coaching client, and a JV partner. I've spent 1000s of dollars with Mark, and he's never sold me a thing.
Same with Willie Crawford. He never sold me a thing. I've bought only what I wanted.
Now, back to the question (and I'm sorry this is so long...)
I'm not selling you anything. No one is. There will be no one standing in the front of the room making a pitch. Each of the Instructors are sharing their knowledge and success willingly. They are not paid to participate.
So, why are they giving you 3 days of their time and what do they get out of it?
Hundreds of successful students and thousands of dollars.
If this is not a pitchfest, how do they get 1000s of dollars? By providing you with top-notch education, excellent service and know-how with the utmost integrity. When you are ready to buy what you truly need to build your business, you'll remember who impressed you and you'll come back to the friend that you met at the workshop - it may be a speaker in the front of the room or a person in your small group who goes on to more success.
So, you see, there's no need to pitch anything. I hate pitchfests.
I love learning and teaching.
So, Why Does Every Link Seem To Be An Affiliate Link With My
MaximizeCommunications.com Domain Attached?
There are two simple reasons for this:
1) I'm an affiliate marketer. If I'm pointing you to something worthwhile and it has an affiliate program, I'll include an affiliate link. For example, if you do not have an autoresponder, I recommended Kelvin Brown's Follow up 101 because it's a low-cost, very dependable autoresponder. On the other hand, if you need a long-term, all-in-one solution, I use 1Shopping Cart. Both will come with 30-day free trials.
Those are affiliate links.
The purpose of the Niche Affiliate Marketing System workshop is to teach you how to become an affiliate marketer as well. Here's a fact: Only one attendee signed up and sold a seat at the workshop. Everyone should have been trying to do exactly that. If you buy something, you should sell it too!
Affiliate commissions can help you create and very comfortable base income. Referring reliable tools and resources is providing good service to your clients.
2) Tracking links help you understand where your traffic is coming from and what you're market is interested in. That's why nearly everything I link to runs through my MaximizeCommunications.com link.
Even if it's not an affiliate link, I try to run it through the software to see what kind of content appeals to you.
How you got this page is a good example: http://www.maximizecommunications.com/concerns brought you to http://www.NicheAffiliateMarketingSystem.com/concerns.html - with that link, I can tell how many people actually clicked on this page. Those are things you need to know if you have a message to get out.
And here's an embarrassing fact: If you look at http://www.MaximizeCommunications.com, there's nothing there. That's my corporate name. And one of these days, I'll have a corporate portfolio site...but for now, all links (95% of them) run through that link so I can track them with my click tracking software.
Don't Forget - The Purpose Of The Weekend Workshop:
It's about profit. For you!
If you don't learn how to make money and provide a valuable service to your readers, then it's a waste of time for all concerned. If you aren't successful, I can't possibly be.
The only way that I - or any of the instructors - will make money is if you make money or believe you have the tools to make money after it's finished.
Peace & Prosperity!
